About Me

This is the area where you get to learn a little bit about me. I have never before delved into the realm of writing, as I have never found it to be something that I thought I would get a kick out of. Being in university for 5 years, and writing so many papers made me feel as though it was more of a chore. This is a new venture for me, and I think it might be an enjoyable one to boot.

Some basics to start. I am 24, living in Alberta, but a born and raised British Columbian. British Columbia will always be my home, and the mountains always make me feel safe, but for now, my residence is in the flatlands (with some mountains far in the distance that you can see about once a week). I am the youngest of five kids, with three brothers and one sister. All amazing, and all, including my parents, have helped shape me into who I am today.  Mushy mushy. I have a diploma in Criminology, and a Bachelors degree in Linguistics. I'm not done yet. A Masters degree is in my future, and who knows, maybe one day a PhD. Or, maybe I'll open my own cupcake shop.

I like to bake, and cook. But mostly baking. Starting with some ingredients, and creating a delicious, flavourful item for eating brings me joy. Half the time I don't even eat it, I mostly just like to make it. Unless it is cookies. I'll eat cookies. But I do have a sweet tooth in general. I probably won't turn a sweet treat down very often.

I enjoy reading. I'm one of those people who gets lost in a book, and could read for hours. I'm also one of those people who reads multiple books at once. I can't help it. It thrills me to no end to be able to do so. I'll read anywhere, on the couch, in a chair, in bed, at the kitchen table, anywhere! Except in a car. Definitely can't read in the car.

Some random facts. I'm a self-proclaimed nail polish junkie. My stash is growing, and I just think it is so much fun to buy pretty coloured nail polish. I'm left-handed, though, I think I lack the "creative gene" that many left-handed people have. I bask in the glory of being left-handed. Don't ask me why, I just do. I have a cat. He is rad.

If you stick around, you might just learn some other fun facts about me.
